David Lyman Interviewed by the Bangkok Post Newspaper on Post-Coup Administration

Bangkok Post

Now that the dust has settled following General Prayuth Chan-ocha’s military takeover of Thailand’s government, all eyes are now on the post-coup administration to see whether its promises of stamping out graft and boosting the country’s economy will come to fruition. The integrity of Thailand’s new leaders and the country’s governing forces’ aptitude to prioritize well have an important bearing on this.

To comment on these issues and more, David Lyman, Chairman and Chief Values Officer of Tilleke & Gibbins, was interviewed by the Bangkok Post  newspaper, and his views were included in an online article named “Thai and Foreign Businessmen Demand Swift National Reform.” Remarking on Thailand’s new leader, David said, “General Prayuth seems to be a sincere man and is backed by a number of experienced technocrats.” He then went on to say, “the potential for corruption and abuse of power continues to be Thailand’s main problem,” the solution for which he said, is, “curbing graft in large infrastructure projects should be the top priority.”

The Bangkok Post  is a widely-circulated Thailand-based newspaper published in both print and online. If you would like to read the full article, please visit the Bangkok Post website.
