Firm Attorneys Present at UN Pre-Retirement Seminar

On November 11, 2010, our Pimvimol (June) Vipamaneerut, Kobkit Thienpreecha, and Michael Ramirez presented at the United Nations (UN) Pre-Retirement Seminar. The session addressed key legal issues and considerations for foreign UN staff that plan to reside in Thailand upon their retirement.  

Pimvimol (June) Vipamaneerut’s presentation covered estate planning basics, such as last will & testament, living wills, letters of instruction, succession, forms of wills, and will witnesses and executors.

Kobkit Thienpreecha spoke on various legal considerations for foreigners residing in Thailand, including visas for long stay, work permits, permanent residence permits, forms of business establishment, foreign ownership restrictions, condominium purchases, house/land purchases, and the national tax structure.

Michael Ramirez covered marital law and the law of nationality, including marriage, pre-nuptial agreements and post-nuptial agreements, divorce, and acquiring Thai nationality.
