Alan Adcock Quoted in INTA Article on Cannabis Legalization

Alan Adcock, partner and deputy director of Tilleke & Gibbins’ intellectual property practice, shared his expertise on the progress of Thailand’s ongoing cannabis liberalization efforts in a recent International Trademark Associate (INTA) article looking at the state of cannabis legalization initiatives around the world from an intellectual property perspective.

The article, which appeared in the latest issue of INTA Daily News, notes some of the global trends in the legalization of cannabis, and focuses on the various approaches that specific countries and jurisdictions are taking. In the article’s look at Thailand’s legal regime, Alan discusses the significance of the current transitional nature of Thailand’s regulatory environment for cannabis, and applies a trademark registration lens to the issue. He also mentions some of the strategies that companies can consider, depending on the various contingencies.
