Somboon Earterasarun Interviewed on IPR Enforcement in Thailand and Indonesia

Somboon Earterasarun, the director of Tilleke & Gibbins’ Jakarta office, was recently featured in two interviews conducted by the South-East Asia IPR SME Helpdesk on IPR enforcement in both Thailand and Indonesia. The interviews were conducted as part of the Helpdesk’s ongoing series of video podcasts.

During the Indonesia-focused interview, Somboon touched on a range of topics, including the Indonesian IP legal framework in comparison to the international standards; criminal and civil proceedings in Indonesia; key aspects for criminal enforcement; and whether it is possible to combine criminal and civil proceedings.

When discussing IPR enforcement in Thailand, Somboon talked about how the Thai IP legal framework compares to international peers; main avenues for IPR enforcement in Thailand; administrative actions; and criminal persecution in comparison to civil litigation.
