Officer, Intellectual Property Investigation

POSITION SUMMARY

This position will be responsible for conducting comprehensive market investigations to identify IP infringement, and performing internal investigations to detect product leakage, violations of corporate ethical standards, and non-compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and corporate policies. Additionally, the position will collaborate with law enforcement agencies to address IP infringement issues. The ideal candidate will have strong English proficiency. A background in law enforcement is preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Market Investigation for IP Infringement:

  • Conduct thorough market research to identify instances of IP infringement.
  • Gather and analyze evidence related to counterfeit products and unauthorized use of IP.
  • Prepare detailed reports on findings and recommend actions to address identified infringements.

2. Internal Investigations:

  • Conduct compliance audits and internal investigations to detect product leakage and other violations within companies.
  • Investigate alleged violations of corporate ethical standards or non-compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and corporate policies.
  • Work closely with internal teams to develop and implement strategies to prevent future violations.
  • Prepare and present comprehensive investigation reports.

3. Collaboration with Law Enforcement:

  • Establish and maintain relationships with local law enforcement agencies.
  • Coordinate with law enforcement to facilitate actions against IP infringers.
  • Represent the Firm in legal proceedings related to IP infringement and compliance issues.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in investigations, law enforcement, or a related field.
  • Prior experience in IP protection and compliance is highly preferred.
  • Former officers in law enforcement are encouraged to apply.
  • Bachelor’s degree in law, business or a related field is preferred.
  • Good knowledge of the Internet, IT, and various software programs and applications.
  • Excellent investigative and analytical skills;
  • Good proficiency in English, both written and spoken; IELTS 7.0 or equivalent.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good report writing and presentation skills in both Vietnamese and English.
