Prateep Naboriboon, a senior consultant and patent agent in the Tilleke & Gibbins intellectual property group, will be giving a talk on plant variety protection (PVP) and the recent Ministerial Regulations that provide guidance on the commercialization of plant varieties. An expert in plant variety issues, Prateep will join one other eminent speaker to discuss:

• Thailand’s PVP system and the recent commercialization guidance under Section 52 of the Plant Variety Protection Act regarding “benefit sharing agreements”
• The types of intellectual property protection available for plants in Thailand
• PVP protection in Thailand as it relates to the seed and vegetable industry
• The outlook for Thailand as a center for seed development and production
