On September 12, 2013, attorneys Loc Xuan Le and Linh Duy Mai spoke at a workshop organized by the French Embassy in Vietnam in cooperation with the People’s Police Academy and other government agencies. The workshop, held in Hanoi, addressed the global threat posed by counterfeit pharmaceuticals, and discussed measures of prevention from the perspective of police, customs, and public health agencies. The workshop was well attended by representatives of the French, Lao, and Cambodian police, Vietnam Customs, the Economic Police of the Ministry of Public Security, and the Ministry of Health.

Tilleke & Gibbins was the only law firm invited to present at the workshop. Loc and Linh shared their practical viewpoint as expert practitioners in the field of IP enforcement, and also showcased some infringing/counterfeit pharmaceutical goods they had seized in recent raids.
