The Political Development Council (PDC), an organization under the King Prachatipok Institute, recently held its annual event to commemorate the PDC’s founding. The event took place on January 29-30 at the Ambassador City Jomtien Hotel in Chonburi Province.

During this two-day event, Dr. Charoen Kanthawongs, an of counsel at Tilleke & Gibbins, was awarded the Person of the Year 2013 Award by the PDC, in the category of national political affairs. Dr. Charoen was nominated by Bangkok University due to his long-standing commitment to Thai politics throughout his career. The nominees were judged based upon their efforts to improve Thailand’s politics. This award highlights Tilleke & Gibbins’ strong relationship with the Thai government, which has lasted for more than a century.
