On April 26, World Intellectual Property Day, Tilleke & Gibbins and the International Trademark Association (INTA) will be organizing a special student outreach event at the Hanoi Law University (HLU) as part of INTA’s Unreal Campaign.
The Unreal Campaign is a global public awareness initiative designed to educate students about the importance of trademarks and intellectual property, and the dangers of counterfeit products. In the past year, Unreal events have been staged on six continents, reaching students from Myanmar to South Africa to Brazil. Tilleke & Gibbins is proud to be the only law-firm sponsor of the campaign, which boasts corporate sponsorship from Google, eBay, and Gucci, among others.
The Hanoi event will feature speakers from INTA, Vietnam’s Ministry of Science and Technology, HLU, and Tilleke & Gibbins, along with IP-related exhibits and participatory games to educate students about intellectual property and counterfeit goods. It is expected that more than 100 students from HLU and other universities will attend.
