As the exclusive Vietnam member firm of Multilaw, a leading global network of independent law firms, Tilleke & Gibbins contributed the Vietnam section to the network’s Enforcement of Foreign Judgments Guide, which details regimes for enforcing foreign judgments in 74 jurisdictions worldwide.

Vinh Quoc Nguyen and Loc Xuan Le, partners in Tilleke & Gibbins’ Vietnam offices, were responsible for writing the chapter, which consists of two parts. In the first of these, the authors summarize the process for obtaining interim preliminary injunctive relief and provide an overview of arbitration issues. The second part reviews how creditors can enforce foreign court judgments under Vietnam’s Civil Proceedings Code, the Law on Enforcement of Civil Judgments, and the Ordinance on Court Fees.
