Following two consecutive terms as Secretary-General of the Thai Business Association of Myanmar (TBAM), Yuwadee Thean-ngarm, partner and director of Tilleke & Gibbins’ Yangon office, was recently elected as the Vice President of TBAM for a three-year period (2022-2024).

In her new role, Yuwadee will support the association in strengthening trade cooperation and investments between Thai and Myanmar businesses, facilitate the exchange of business knowledge and experience between the two nations, and represent Thai businesses in six main sectors in Myanmar: import/export and distribution; agriculture and fishery; hotel, restaurant, and service business; banking, finance, and legal; construction and energy; and airline, logistics, and IT.

As director of Tilleke & Gibbins’ Myanmar Office, Yuwadee advises clients on a full range of commercial, corporate, and IP matters, making her a highly suitable candidate to fill the post of TBAM Vice President.
