Peeyakorn Suparugbundit is a senior associate and patent agent in Tilleke & Gibbins’ intellectual property (IP) group, specializing in patent matters for both international and domestic clients. With an educational background in both biotechnology and law, she focuses her work in the life sciences sector, with a particular specialty in the fields of biotechnology, chemistry, medical devices, and pharmaceuticals.
Peeyakorn advises clients on drafting and amending patent applications and substantive patent prosecution in Europe, Singapore, Thailand, and the United States, among other jurisdictions. She is also skilled in conducting patent analysis work, including patentability, patent landscape, and freedom-to-operate analyses for innovative technologies.
Moving beyond patent prosecution, Peeyakorn also assists inventors and investors alike with IP commercialization and transactions, including patent licensing, patent assignments and ownership transfers, technology transfer agreements, research and development agreements, and confidentiality agreements.
Prior to joining Tilleke & Gibbins, Peeyakorn worked at an international law firm in Bangkok and a regional IP firm in Singapore. She has obtained a Notarial Services Attorney License from the Lawyers Council of Thailand, a Patent Agent License from the Department of Intellectual Property of Thailand, and is a member of the Thai Bar Association. In addition, she has been elected to be a representative of the APAA’s (Asian Patent Attorneys Association) Standing Committee on Patents in Thailand, and is regularly invited as a guest speaker for various seminars organized by the private and public sectors alike.
