Nguyet Thi Anh Nguyen is a patent executive in the firm’s Hanoi office. With more than 19 years of experience prosecuting patent applications in the biological and chemical fields from pre-filing to post-granting stages, Nguyet is particularly skilled in drafting specifications for Vietnamese patents, translating English specifications into Vietnamese, and searching and advising on patentability of technical solutions in Vietnam.
Nguyet has an engineer’s degree in food technology from the Hanoi University of Technology. In addition, Nguyet has a degree in law, and also earned a Certificate of Advanced Training Course on Intellectual Property from the IP Office of Vietnam. Before joining the Tilleke & Gibbins team, she worked for one of Vietnam’s largest domestic IP firms.
- Managed over 600 patent applications and successfully prosecuted over 200 patent applications from filing to granting.
- Translated hundreds of patent specifications from English into Vietnamese in the chemical, biological, and pharmaceutical fields.
- Filed arguments on behalf of clients in response to office actions, and prepared and filed opposition documents against pending applications and granted patents.
- Conducted numerous patent searches such as FTO searches, pre-filing searches, and pending application/granted patent searches.
