Tilleke & Gibbins will host a forum to conduct an annual review of key labor and employment law issues in Thailand. The seminar will touch on many key aspects of employment law that are pertinent to corporate executives and human resources managers. The program will also feature an extended Q&A session, to give participants the opportunity to receive feedback on any pressing questions facing their business.
The following topics will be discussed:
- Employment contracts: Significant laws related to employment; structure of an employment contract; and key provisions.
- Intellectual property in the workplace: Potential IP problems and ownership issues; IP risks for businesses; and dealing with IP in the workplace.
- Termination of employees: Advance notice of termination or payment of wages in lieu; severance; payment of wages for unused annual leave and other statutory payments; and employment certificates.
- Labor union negotiations and litigation in Thailand’s Labor Court: Changing terms and conditions of employment; responding to labor demands; negotiating with labor unions; and labor court procedures.
This seminar will be presented in the Thai language.
