John Frangos to Present on Countering Bribery in Thailand at AMCHAM Event

American Chamber of Commerce Thailand

Thailand’s government has made anti-corruption a focus of its domestic policy. Two new laws, the Licensing Facilitation Act and the Amendments to the Organic Act on Anti-Corruption, have recently been implemented as part of the government’s objective to promote a corruption-free society. Both of these laws work in very different ways, but they share the similar goals of countering bribery and enhancing transparency.

To discuss these laws and more, John Frangos, a consultant in Tilleke & Gibbins’ dispute resolution group, will make a presentation on “Countering Bribery in Thailand: The Licensing Facilitation Act and the Organic Act on Counter-Corruption” at an event hosted by the AMCHAM Business Economics Committee. The presentation will explain how these laws can affect foreign investors and doing business in Thailand.

The event will be held on August 25 from 7.30 a.m. to 9 a.m. at AMCHAM’s office in Ploenchit. If you would like to learn more about this event, please visit the AMCHAM website.
