Alan Adcock, a partner in the intellectual property and regulatory affairs groups at Tilleke & Gibbins, has been named one of just six winners of the annual Volunteer Service Awards granted by the International Trademark Association (INTA). Granted the award in the “Advancement of Trademark Law” category, Alan was recognized for his activity on behalf of INTA and trademark owners in in the area of standardized packaging and regulatory encroachment on IP rights across a range of industries.
“Mr. Adcock has spearheaded INTA’s advocacy in Thailand, Singapore, Hong Kong, and Malaysia, drafting submissions to various government stakeholders and speaking on the issue at a number of local, regional, and international events,” according to INTA’s awards announcement.
INTA’s Volunteer Service Awards recognize individuals who have provided exemplary volunteer service to both INTA and the broader public during the course of the year. Alan, who served as chair of INTA’s Legislation and Regulation Asia-Pacific Subcommittee in 2014-2015, will receive the award at a ceremony during the INTA Leadership Meeting on November 14, 2016, in Hollywood, Florida.
