Following the recent publication of Intellectual Asset Management (IAM) magazine’s IAM Patent 1000 2021, Tilleke & Gibbins is proud to announce that the firm’s patent teams in Cambodia and Indonesia have both earned top-tier rankings in this year’s publication. Notably, this announcement marks the firm’s fourth consecutive top-tier distinction in Indonesia and the firm’s first in Cambodia—as this is the first year IAM Patent 1000 has covered the emerging jurisdiction.
In the editorials that accompany the firm’s rankings in Cambodia and Indonesia, IAM refers to Tilleke & Gibbins as “an internationally renowned IP practice,” a “one-stop shop for regional IP services,” and a firm that “is ready to tackle any and every invention.”
Beyond the firm-wide distinctions, individual practitioners from Tilleke & Gibbins also received praise and acknowledgement for their patent expertise. Sokmean Chea of the firm’s Phnom Penh practice, and vice president of the Cambodia chapter of the Asian Patent Attorneys’ Association, was one of just five patent experts listed in Cambodia. And Wongrat Ratanaprayul, director of the firm’s Jakarta office, was recognized as one of only a handful of leading patent practitioners in Indonesia.
The annual IAM Patent 1000 rankings are based on several months of in-depth research and market analysis conducted by IAM researchers. In the 2021 rankings, the publication also awarded top marks to Tilleke & Gibbins’ offices in Thailand and Vietnam.
