The fourth edition of International Employment Law (Release 5, 2016), published by the Center for International Legal Studies, provides an overview of employment law in 43 countries worldwide. Kitti Thaisomboon, attorney-at-law, and David Beckstead, consultant, in the corporate and commercial department at Tilleke & Gibbins, contributed the Thailand chapter of this guide.
The Thailand chapter discusses a range of topics, including contracts of employment, special categories of employees such as foreign and part-time employees, minimum wage rates, work hours, health care coverage, discrimination, collective bargaining, health and safety under the Occupational Health and Safety Act, labor disputes governed by the Labor Relations Act, termination of employment, and retirement.
