James Evans to Speak on ASEAN IP Issues at BCCT Boardroom Briefing

British Chamber of Commerce Thailand

Companies—large and small—and individuals will soon need to integrate a regional, ASEAN Economic Community (AEC) strategy into their plans for IP protection and commercialization. Soon, the AEC will be more than a mere prospect and its implementation will usher in the free movement of goods, services, capital and investment, and certain skilled labor. Incumbent with these changes are both challenges and advantages.

To discuss these issues, James Evans, a consultant in Tilleke & Gibbins’ IP group, will be speaking at a seminar hosted by the British Chamber of Commerce Thailand on the topic “ASEAN Intellectual Property Issues: Practical Steps for Protection of IP and Taxation Aspects of Commercialization.”

The seminar will be held at the British Business Centre in Bangkok on May 28 from 5.30 p.m. to 7 p.m. If you would like to learn more about this event, please visit the BCCT website.
