Jeffrey Blatt Presenting on Cloud Services at Broadband Asia

Broadband Asia 2013 will bring together decision makers and buyers from the fixed, wireless, and mobile broadband industry from across the Asia- Pacific region and beyond to discuss the pressing issues facing the industry. Attendees from over 64 countries and over 100 leading operators will participate in sessions looking at access evolution, mobile and wireless broadband opportunities, strategy, leveraging broadband networks for new service opportunities, and ensuring better capacity.

During the conference, Jeffrey J. Blatt, of counsel at Tilleke & Gibbins, will deliver a presentation on the legal and regulatory issues surrounding cloud computing. The session will examine:

  • Service offerings by telecoms companies for cloud services and terms of service/issues with customers, including performance issues, warranties, and business continuity issues.
  • Legal issues arising in the provision of cloud services for customers, including data privacy, lawful interception/access by governments, and encryption considerations.
