The National Legislative Assembly recently passed a bill amending the Civil Procedure Code to allow for class action legal proceedings in Thailand. The bill has received royal endorsement, and it will become effective in December 2015. While litigation prospects in Thailand are potentially more limited than those in other jurisdictions, such as North America, the legislation is nevertheless expected to have a significant impact on business operators.
