Tilleke & Gibbins’ head office in Bangkok will host an intellectual property policy dialogue event on August 20, in collaboration with the International Trademark Association (INTA) and the Intellectual Property Association of Thailand (IPAT).
Thai government officials from the Department of Intellectual Property and the Customs Department, representatives from the US Department of Homeland Security Investigations, and some of Thailand’s leading private intellectual property practitioners will join together at this event to discuss the challenges arising from border actions (and successes in overcoming them), best practice in combatting online counterfeiting, and various other hot-button topics. Wiramrudee (Pink) Mokkhavesa, an attorney in the Tilleke & Gibbins IP group, will participate as a panelist during a discussion on challenges and success in implementing border measures in Thailand, while Alec Wheatley, a consultant with the firm, will join a panel on IP enforcement online.
The event will take place from 2 pm to 5 pm at Tilleke & Gibbins’ head office in Bangkok, and is open by invitation only to members of INTA and IPAT.
