In recognition of Tilleke & Gibbins’ pro bono practice, our firm has been nominated for the following awards at the 2017 TrustLaw Awards:
- Domestic law firm of the year, for which we are one of only four nominated firms globally.
- Innovation award in recognition of our Myanmar office’s work with Eyewitness to Atrocities (UK) and D.L. & F de Saram (Sri Lanka) to help the use of technology in bringing perpetrators of international atrocity crimes to justice.
- Collaboration award in conjunction with the UNHCR, International Detention Coalition, and Save the Children, for the work that our Thailand office has undertaken in collaboration with Gibson Dunn & Crutcher, Skrine (Malaysia), Hiswara Bunjamin & Tandjung (Indonesia), and The Legal Circle (Bangladesh), to protect refugee and asylum-seeking children in Asia.
TrustLaw is the Thomson Reuters Foundation’s global pro bono legal program, responsible for connecting law firms and corporate legal teams with high-impact NGOs and social enterprises working to create social and environmental change. The TrustLaw Awards celebrate the most important work being carried out through TrustLaw projects.
