Vinh Quoc Nguyen to Speak on M&A in Vietnam at VCCI/VIAC Workshop

Mergers and acquisitions are expected to grow in prominence in Vietnam as the economy resets after the COVID-19 pandemic. Anticipating this impending wave of transactions, the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) and its arbitration unit, the Vietnam International Arbitration Centre (VIAC), are jointly organizing a day-long training course on M&A for Vietnamese businesses. The workshop will be held on Thursday, June 25, from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at VCCI’s Ho Chi Minh City office.

Dr. Vinh Quoc Nguyen, a partner in Tilleke & Gibbins’ Ho Chi Minh City office and a VIAC arbitrator, will conduct the course’s afternoon session. Dr. Vinh’s presentation will focus on the risks and returns of an M&A transaction, particularly from a legal perspective, and will cover investor strategies, advantages of buyers and sellers, risks at each stage of closing a deal, and commonly arising disputes.

For more information on the workshop, please visit the VIAC website.
