Biography

Nuriah Na Pikul is an associate in Tilleke & Gibbins’ corporate and commercial department in Bangkok. She is an accomplished legal researcher and corporate compliance attorney, regularly providing  insightful solutions and analyses to support clients’ legal strategies in relation to a broad scope of foreign direct investment projects, including joint ventures, mergers and acquisitions (M&A), and the establishment of representative and regional offices.

Nuriah excels in preparing and executing business registrations and applying for the necessary licenses and permits required for conducting business in a variety of sectors in Thailand. She offers expert advice across a wide variety of sectors, particularly in the automotive and manufacturing industries, where she has extensive experience in setting up factories and managing legal issues across the full supply chain.

Nuriah holds an LLB from Chulalongkorn University. She is a licensed lawyer in Thailand and holds a notarial services attorney license.

Experience

  • Prepared and executed business registrations for a well-known German automotive company and applied for the necessary licenses and permits required for conducting business in Thailand.
  • Assisted a unicorn startup in the IT services industry headquartered in India with the formation of a subsidiary in Thailand, which included obtaining the relevant license and advising on capitalization procedures as well as other general business operation procedures in Thailand.
  • Advised on all aspects of market entry into Thailand for a well-established luggage company from the United Kingdom, including establishment of operations in the country, and facilitated the application for Board of Investment promotion as a manufacturer.
  • Represented a major Thai company in the renewable energy sector in the acquisition of a biomass power plant valued at THB 237 million, which included conducting legal due diligence on the target company and its assets while also assisting in amending the company’s structure and handling other corporate matters.
  • Participated in a restructuring project for Thailand’s leading beauty e-commerce company, implementing legal solutions and preparing relevant documents.
